Future Projects

At our recent AGM, the directors were mandated to form three committees: Pit Toilets, Brushing Equipment, and Grant Fundings.

Committees

Each committee was assigned a lead member responsible for organizing meetings, exploring possibilities, and taking actionable steps to accomplish the tasks effectively. We could use more help from our club members.

Pit Toilets

Lead: Frank M.

Determine the cost of constructing a pit toilet and obtain the necessary permissions for its installation along the trails.

Update#1 - Volunteers have been busy planning, buying materials, and finally building 3 pit toilets over the winter months.

Update#2 - Camping Workbee scheduled for June 8-12. Two of the pit toilets were installed and trail maintenance was done on most trails.

Update#3 - Installation of the last pit toilet was on July 20th.

Brushing Equipment

Lead: Ralph N.

Research available trail brushing equipment and gather pricing information for discussion in future meetings.

Update#1 - Quotes have been received for the purchase of a tractor and brushing equipment. Volunteers continue to investigate the possibilities.

Update#2 - Holding off on the purchase until funding has been secured.

Grant Fundings

Lead: Daryl J.

Explore the funding options available to help the club acquire the necessary supplies and equipment for trail maintenance, signs, and events.

Update#1 - Funding was received from ATVBC for the Pit Toilets project.

Update#2 - Funding was received from ORCBC for the Pit Toilets and Trail Maintenance.

Update #3 - Funding was received from ORV Trail Fund for the Pit Toilets and Trail Maintenance.
